Foxing Around
The fox around means to be playful or mischievous. Foxes are very playful animals, and they love to have fun! Pups enjoy chasing each other, pouncing on objects, and even playing with toys they find, like sticks or balls. Baby foxes, called kits, often wrestle with their siblings to practice their hunting skills. They sometimes even play games like hide and seek! Foxes also love to leap into the air and pounce, especially when hunting, which is not only a way to catch food but also something they do for fun.
Even though foxes are part of the canine family, which includes dogs and wolves, they share some traits with cats. For example, foxes have vertical slit-shaped pupils like cats, which help them see well at night. They also move quietly and gracefully, like a cat stalking its prey. Foxes can even climb trees! This mix of dog and cat-like traits makes foxes unique. They are clever, playful, and adaptable, which helps them survive in different environments.
